SwiftMed Passenger Policy & Agreement

This Passenger Policy & Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of the SwiftMed website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By booking or using services through SwiftMed, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Platform Overview

SwiftMed is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent, third-party drivers who provide non-emergency medical transportation services, including:

• Ambulatory assistance

• Wheelchair-accessible transportation

• Stretcher transportation

 

SwiftMed does not provide medical care, medical supervision, or emergency services and is not a healthcare provider.

2. Private-Pay Services Only

SwiftMed operates exclusively as a 100% private-pay platform.

• We do not accept insurance, including Medicare or Medicaid

• No claims are submitted on your behalf

• All rides must be paid directly through the Platform

• Pricing is displayed prior to confirming a ride

 

You are solely responsible for all transportation costs.

3. Eligibility & Account Responsibility

By using SwiftMed, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old, or using the Platform under a guardian or authorized representative

• All information provided is accurate and up to date

• You are responsible for all activity under your account

 

SwiftMed reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or violations.

4. Booking & Ride Process

• Rides may be booked on-demand or scheduled in advance

• A ride is confirmed once accepted by a driver

• SwiftMed may cancel, delay, or reassign rides due to availability or safety concerns

 

Estimated arrival times are not guaranteed.

5. Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers agree to:

• Be ready at the scheduled pickup time and location

• Provide accurate pickup/drop-off information

• Follow all safety instructions given by the driver

• Ensure mobility equipment is safe and properly prepared

• Arrange additional assistance if required beyond driver capability

• Supervise minors or individuals requiring special care

 

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in cancellation or additional fees.

6. Non-Emergency Transportation Only

SwiftMed services are strictly for non-emergency transportation.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

Passengers acknowledge:

• No medical personnel are provided

• Drivers are not responsible for medical care

• SwiftMed does not provide emergency response services

7. Payments & Fees

• All payments must be made through the Platform

• Pricing is shown before confirming the ride

• Additional fees may apply (e.g., wait time, cancellations, no-shows)

• Payments outside the Platform are strictly prohibited

 

All payments are final unless otherwise determined by SwiftMed.

8. Cancellations & No-Show Policy

• Passengers may cancel rides within the timeframe shown in the Platform

• Late cancellations may incur a fee

• Failure to appear at pickup may result in a no-show charge

• Refunds are issued at SwiftMed’s sole discretion

9. Passenger Conduct Policy

Passengers must:

• Treat drivers with respect and professionalism

• Refrain from abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior

• Not damage vehicles or equipment

• Comply with all applicable laws

 

SwiftMed has a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct and may suspend or terminate accounts immediately.

10. Independent Contractor Drivers

Passengers acknowledge that:

• Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of SwiftMed

• SwiftMed does not control driver behavior or actions

• SwiftMed does not guarantee driver availability, quality, or timeliness

11. Limitation of Liability

SwiftMed is a technology platform only.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwiftMed shall not be liable for:

• Any injuries, damages, or losses

• Delays or missed appointments

• Incidents occurring between passengers and drivers before, during, or after transportation

 

All services are used at your own risk.

12. Personal Belongings

Passengers are responsible for their personal items. SwiftMed is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.

13. Privacy & Data Use

Use of the Platform is subject to SwiftMed’s Privacy Policy.

 

By using SwiftMed, you consent to the collection and use of:

• Personal information

• Location data

• Ride details

14. Service Availability

SwiftMed does not guarantee:

• Driver availability at all times

• Service in all locations

• Exact pickup or arrival times

 

Service is subject to demand, location, and driver participation.

15. Termination of Use

SwiftMed may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violations of this Agreement

• Safety concerns

• Fraudulent or abusive behavior

16. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located within Maryland.

17. Modifications to Agreement

SwiftMed may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
